Masha Demianova is a visual artist and photographer, residing and working between Berlin and Paris, she took upon photography after dropping out from Moscow State University. Having launched a career in the fashion industry but abandoned the 2000s stereotypes of objectified "female beauty" to focus on representing the diversity of characters and multifaceted stories, with roots in mythology and literature. While exploring symbols and archetypes through documentary and staged images, her camera glances beyond the everyday narratives, revealing glimpses of their transcendent nature.
