Dima Chyornyy is a multidisciplinary artist and photographer working across photography and video. His practice combines humor and absurdity with a close attention to people and their surroundings. Experimenting with analog techniques, color, textures, and various visual approaches, Dmitrii creates images with a distinctive and recognizable aesthetic.
A significant part of his practice is dedicated to working with figures from contemporary culture — actors, musicians, and artists. His subjects include Yura Borisov, Liza Yankovskaya, Ilya Naishuller, Alexander Pal, Feduk, Zoloto, and others. In his portraits, Dmitrii moves beyond conventional photography, placing his subjects in new worlds and circumstances and creating a distinct visual narrative around them.
